It's time that someone spoke up. Every money-making, business
opportunity website that I've seen lately is warning about scams. The main
reason they do this is so they can scare you into buying their service or
product.
You see, if they get you to believe that everyone else is scheming to get into your pocket, then you MUST buy from them, right? Because they are the "honest" ones.
Don't get me wrong, there definitely are people online waiting to cheat you out of your money. I've run into a few myself. And it's not fun at all.
What I've found is that if someone is going to "scam" you, it will be one of the following 2 most common ways.
Failure to deliver product - I was scammed twice like this. You pay your money and you never receive the product or service.
Sub-quality product - It's not uncommon, especially when buying from places like ebay, to order what you believed to be an original and instead receive a poorly made copy of the product.
Those are the most common scams, and here are a few things you can do to avoid them. (Things I failed to do.) Before purchasing anything on the Internet check for:
Company phone number
Support or training available?
Physical business location
Money back Guarantee
Perform a Google search on the company or product to check if anyone has posted negative information about the company.
Now here's where it gets ugly. I have found that many people claim that they have been scammed because they were deceived when purchasing the product. The truth is that the seller "over-hyped" the product making the purchaser think that they were going to make thousands of dollars overnight.
That is deceitful, but not a scam. Most companies back up their hype with proof of earnings from successful customers. You will find that some purchasers have indeed earned the "Big Bucks", but not without a lot of work and financial investment.
So when looking for a home-based online business check out company information, and realize that every business requires work, time, and money to succeed.
